The Ashlea Albertson Legacy Foundation was created in loving memory of Ashlea Albertson—a vibrant, fearless young woman with a passion for motorsports and a heart full of kindness. Ashlea’s enthusiasm for life and racing was contagious, and she left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Through this foundation, we honor her life by continuing the work she was most passionate about: empowering others, especially young women, to chase their dreams and live boldly.

The foundation is led by those who knew and loved Ashlea most. Her father, Todd Albertson, and stepmother, shelly Albertson, bring strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to every effort. Ashlea’s three sisters carry on her legacy with grace, each honoring her spirit in their own way. Two of Ashlea’s best friends—who helped build the foundation in her memory—remain at the heart of its mission, working tirelessly to ensure her light never fades.

One of our core missions is to support and uplift young women in motorsports by providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities in a sport that Ashlea deeply loved. We believe every girl with a dream deserves a shot, and we’re committed to opening doors in Ashlea’s name.

In addition to this work, Todd Albertson has become a powerful voice for road safety, sharing his family’s story in hopes of saving others from similar heartbreak. He speaks at local driving schools and safety programs, educating new drivers on the importance of wearing seatbelts and the dangers of road rage. Through these talks, Todd turns tragedy into purpose—connecting with young people in real and meaningful ways, and encouraging them to make safer choices behind the wheel.

The foundation also hosts annual events in Ashlea’s honor, including memorial races, car shows, and virtual celebrations. These gatherings bring people together to remember her, celebrate her life, and raise awareness for causes she cared about deeply.
